CEXI serves many marketplaces. Over the years, the uses for industrial gases have grown exponentially. Some of the common areas that we serve are aerospace/military, food and beverage, industrial applications, the electronics industry, and the medical industry.

Aerospace / Military
CEXI has built custom designed equipment for the aerospace and military as ground support equipment for planes, missiles, and satellites. We have provided turnkey systems for Lockheed to support their composite design and fabrication efforts for both planes and missiles. We have provided high temperature systems for engine research for Rockwell and Boeing for the NSAP Project. We have worked in conjunction with our sister company (CCI) to build automatic pumping / vaporizing systems for Johnson Controls at Stennis, Marshall Space Flight Center, and for Edwards AFB, Rockwell International, Lockheed, White Sands Test Facility and Boeing.

Food and Beverage
The food and beverage industry utilizes several of the industrial gases for processing and packaging of foods. CEXI provides vaporizers for supplying gaseous product for the packaging of the food. We also provide back up vaporizers for maintaining tank pressure for food freezing applications where dry ice is used to freeze the food. We have proprietary designs for utilizing process water for vaporizing liquid cryogens, that results in substantial energy savings for the customer. We also provide pumps for cylinder filling for the beverage industry.

Industrial
The industrial market place includes chemical plants, tire manufacturing, welding supply, refineries, raw material production, and fabrication operations. CEXI provides vaporizers for nitrogen, oxygen and other cryogens for the chemical plants. Some of the fluids are used for inerting processes that would be otherwise explosive. Refineries use nitrogen gas to inert the cracking process and oxygen rich compounds for the oxygenation of fuels. Tire manufactures are turning to nitrogen in the manufacture of tires because it makes the tires last longer. Welding suppliers are filling high pressure cylinders using pumps and vaporizers provided by CEXI and CCI. Steel mills and aluminum mills are using oxygen in their process to produce better materials. Fabricators are using Argon, Nitrogen and CO2 for their welding applications. In all of these applications, CEXI is providing pumps and vaporizers for the applications.

Electronics
In the electronics industry, CEXI is providing high purity vaporizers and trim heaters for chip manufacture. Motorola and Hitachi utilize CEXI's trim heaters and vaporizers for vaporization of nitrogen, oxygen and argon. CEXI has the capability of building equipment using high purity electro-polished components. We have the capability to orbital weld tubing and pour castings using electro-polished tube while maintaining the electro-polished finish in the tube.

Medical
CEXI supplies medical oxygen systems for hospital inhalation and hyperbaric systems. We have supplied both water bath and ambient oxygen vaporizer systems for medical oxygen use. We have also provided systems for nitrous oxide medical systems. CEXI and CCI have provided pumping systems for filling medical oxygen cylinders.
